Terms & Conditions
Last updated: March 18, 2026
General
These terms and conditions, together with the order confirmation, form the contractual basis for your purchase. These terms apply when you, as a consumer, make purchases on the Sanalliset website. Your rights as a consumer are further protected by the Finnish Consumer Protection Act (20.1.1978/38) and the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU). Sanalliset is an online store selling custom-engraved jewelry. By placing an order, the consumer accepts the following terms. The seller reserves the right to amend these terms of sale.

Products
The products sold by the seller are jewelry made of stainless steel. Some pieces are coated using the PVD method. The jewelry features diamond-engraved text or other personalized markings specified by the customer at the time of order.
Pricing and Payment
KML Development Oy is VAT-registered and all prices include value added tax. Payments are processed through Stripe (Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay). Shipping costs are determined at checkout based on the selected delivery method.
Formation of the Sales Contract
The sales contract is formed when the payment has been approved by the Stripe payment service and an order confirmation has been sent to the consumer. The seller has the right to cancel the order if the payment cannot be successfully charged.
Delivery
We deliver orders to Finland and other EU countries. Orders are typically handed over for shipping within 1–5 business days after the consumer's payment has been approved and recorded. Stated delivery times are estimates and are not binding on the seller. The seller is not responsible for delays caused by the carrier or other circumstances beyond the seller's control. If delivery is significantly delayed, the consumer has the right to remedies under the Consumer Protection Act.
Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with Chapter 6, Section 16 of the Finnish Consumer Protection Act and Article 16(c) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), the consumer does not have the right of withdrawal for products that have been made or customised according to the consumer's individual specifications (e.g. engraved jewelry), unless the product is defective or otherwise differs from the order confirmation.
For products that have not been made or customised according to the consumer's individual specifications, the consumer has the right to withdraw from the contract concluded online within 14 days of receiving the goods. The withdrawal must be communicated to the seller by email at support@sanalliset.eu before returning the product.
The returned product must be unused, in its original condition, and in a state where it can be resold, unless the product is defective or incorrect.
The seller shall refund the amount paid by the consumer no later than 14 days from receiving the withdrawal notice, using the same means of payment used by the consumer in the original transaction, unless the consumer has expressly agreed otherwise.
The consumer shall bear the direct cost of returning the goods.
You can exercise your right of withdrawal by using the model withdrawal form below or by sending a clear withdrawal notice by email.

Defect Liability and Complaints
The seller is liable for defects in the goods in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act. A product is considered defective if it does not conform to what was agreed, the order confirmation, or generally accepted quality standards at the time of delivery.
The consumer must notify the seller of any defect discovered within a reasonable time of discovering the defect or from the time the defect should have been discovered. A notification is always considered timely if it is made within two (2) months of discovering the defect.
The seller is not liable for defects or damage resulting from normal wear and tear, improper use, neglect of maintenance, or inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the consumer.
Repair, replacement, or other compensation for a defective product will be agreed between the seller and the consumer in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
In accordance with the EU Sale of Goods Directive (2019/771), the seller is liable for any lack of conformity that exists at the time of delivery and becomes apparent within two (2) years of delivery of the goods.
Unclaimed Packages
Failure to collect a package is not the same as cancelling the purchase. If the consumer fails to collect the order without having sent a separate cancellation notice to the seller as required by the Consumer Protection Act, the order will not be treated as cancelled.
If the order concerns a product that has been made or customised according to the consumer's individual specifications and the consumer has not submitted a lawful cancellation notice, the seller is not obliged to refund the amount paid for the order or the shipping costs.
The seller has the right to handle an unclaimed package at its discretion.
If a separate agreement is made with the consumer regarding the re-shipment of an unclaimed package, the consumer is responsible for the costs arising from the return of the package and the shipping costs of re-delivery.
An unclaimed package is returned to the seller in accordance with the carrier's terms.
Disputes
If a dispute arises between the consumer and the seller, the parties shall primarily seek to resolve the matter through negotiation.
The consumer has the right to refer the dispute to the Consumer Disputes Board (www.kuluttajariita.fi). Before referring the matter to the Consumer Disputes Board, the consumer should contact consumer advisory services (www.kuluttajaneuvonta.fi).
The consumer may also use the European Union's Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform, available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
Processing of Personal Data
The seller processes the consumer's personal data in accordance with applicable data protection legislation, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Details about the processing of personal data, the purposes of processing, the rights of data subjects, and the disclosure of data are described in our separate privacy policy, available on our privacy page. Read our Privacy Policy
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These terms are governed by the laws of Finland. Disputes concerning a consumer shall be resolved in the general court of first instance at the consumer's domicile or in the District Court of Helsinki.
